Songworx is CJ deVillar – a world class recording & mix engineer who has worked with Quincy Jones, Disturbed, Michael Jackson, P. I consistently bring out the absolute best musical power and dynamic vocal energy from multi-track projects whether it was home recorded on the simplest of set-ups or tracked in the best studios.
This entire site is directed to helping you make the critical decision about which mix engineer you will choose. Please take a look at my history and put your ears on a few of my mixes. Here are a few hip hop, rap, r&b examples. and several rock, metal, ac examples. Many of these record mixes are pre-masters so you can hear how it comes out of my studio. Point being, it masters like butter for any mastering engineer :) More examples will be up soon. If there’s one thing to take away from this site if nothing else, it’s that a solid mix engineer, experience and ears are everything. Pick the right mix engineer above all other considerations. The mix equipment and studio are a distant second-place by far since there’s no way the best of all those things will help the inexperienced. I would rather have a great mix engineer mix on a laptop in my kitchen. Really…. I would.
