Each mix gets serious consideration so this is not a per hour mix factory that quits when time has run out. Mixing doesn’t work that way. This place finishes the mix when “the mix” is finished so I’m all about the craft and being associated to powerful results which is obviously all-important to my reputation and business.
Mixing – $300 to $500 is the recession busting typical range for a mix. It’s a buyers market for sure :) If you need lots of edits and fixes just let me know and we’ll suss it out.
Mastering – is free and already included with the mix or $40 per song for “mastering only” with no mixing.
Rates include all the time you need for your reviews and adjustments if you need them. PayPal is a pretty safe way to go for our transactions.
* I do not charge for studio time. I do not charge by the hour for mixing. I simply mix the song into it’s best possible outcome. Simple and honest :) How long does it take to mix a song? For the usual “multitrack song and vocals” mix session, the average time is about ten hours. I usually mix in two comfortable five hour sessions with a few mix/mastering final tweeks on the third day for about an hour. If you need a one day turn around, I can easily accommodate that too but I keep a sane pace with all the mixing I do :)
* Your studio and my studio can be connected through my FTP server which can handle audio files of any size. Lets say I’m mixing your song at my studio and you have just recorded a better vocal line for the first verse at your studio. Just enter your password in the FTP program I provide, drag the vocal file into the box to upload and that’s it. I then download and drop the file into the mix and continue. Takes only minutes.
* Included with the mix sessions are mix balance adjustments you may want after I’ve finished with the mix so feel free. I’m going to send you mp3′s or upload full CD res files for your reviews.
Additional Services
All things are possible and I’ve done a lot of them. To put it simply, if you have unfinished songs that need to be finalized or songs that need hyper Pro Tools editing, vocal tricks, timing fixes, drum replacement, tuning fixes/tricks, stutter edits, Hip Hop drops, bass, guitar, remixing and programming, etc. Just let me know.
